After graduating from Flinders University in 1996, Dr Ward obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2005. He then completed post fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroplasty with two internationally regarded surgeons; Dr Keith Holt, at the Perth Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre, and Dr Leo Pinczewski, at North Sydney Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine.
