Changing or cancelling an appointment: a practical guide

Let the practice know early if you need to change your booking.

What does this involve?

Early notice gives the team the best chance to offer the appointment to another patient. The published cancellation policy asks for 24 hours' notice where possible.

What should you prepare or check?

If circumstances change unexpectedly or you are running late, contact the practice promptly. The team can explain the next available arrangements.

Common questions

How much notice should I give?

Please provide at least 24 hours' notice where possible, or contact the practice as soon as you know you cannot attend.

What if I arrive late?

Let the team know so they can advise whether the appointment can proceed or needs to be rearranged.
