Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr Wallace is a highly skilled Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in knee surgery.
He performs arthroscopic, reconstructive, total and partial joint replacement, along with other forms of surgery, to support patients with sports injury, arthritis, degeneration and a range of conditions.
Dr Wallace graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1980 and spent two years working in the UK before commencing orthopaedic training in Australia. He obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1989, and then completed a specialist Knee Surgery Fellowship with Dr Greg Keene (Adelaide). He again ventured overseas to broaden his surgical knowledge and experience.
Over a six-month period, he obtained a Fellowship with the AO Foundation (Switzerland) and visited with several highly respected knee surgeons in the US. He is a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association, Australian Knee Society, International Society for Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, Sports Medicine Australia (SA).
Dr Wallace practices privately with Orthopaedics SA at the Memorial Medical Centre, having been a Senior Visiting Consultant and Co Head of Unit at the Royal Adelaide Hospital for over 25 years. He is a Senior Clinical Lecturer with the Adelaide University Department of Surgery, teaching the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons.
