Dr Jason Ward is an Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in minimally invasive joint replacement surgery. He has a particular interest in robotics and patient-matched technology utilising 3D printing to deliver the best possible outcomes for his patients. Dr Ward has performed thousands of knee replacements, anterior hip replacements and shoulder replacements, as well as arthroscopic (keyhole) knee, shoulder and ankle surgeries.

Dr Ward has completed extensive post-fellowship training in knee, anterior hip, shoulder and ankle surgery both in Australia and the USA. He has been using robotics and 3D printed technology to aid in joint replacements for many years now.

Dr Ward has extensive experience in arthroscopic (keyhole) sports surgery, particularly ACL and other ligament reconstructions in the knee and ankle. He has an interest in knee cartilage preservation techniques for younger adult patients.

Dr Ward had fellowship training in shoulder arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery, including rotator cuff repair and corrective surgery for shoulder instability and dislocations.

Dr Ward regularly attends international professional development workshops, conferences and surgeon visitations to stay up to date with the latest advances in surgical technology and techniques.

Now exclusively in private practice with Orthopaedics SA, Dr Ward consults and operates across multiple metropolitan locations. He also supports patients in the mid north of South Australia with monthly visits.

Practicing privately with Orthopaedics SA in North Adelaide, Ashford, Bedford Park, Burnside, Campbelltown and Elizabeth, Dr Ward also supports country patients at Port Pirie Hospital, and Karnak House / Whyalla Hospital.
