This month, an article on a muscle-sparing surgical technique, developed and used by Dr James McLean for several years, has been published in the Techniques in Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery Journal.
The technique preserves important forearm muscles, thereby improving patients’ short and long-term recovery from surgery. This technique is reproducible and effective, and can be adopted by other surgeons to improve their patients’ outcomes from this potentially devastating injury.
